A National Energy Plan - The Eleven Percent Solution

Biologically friendly energy sources are beginning to emerge... they have to. Without them We face a declining future in America. Oil consumption at the current rate or higher will lead to a declining economy, environment, and international political disaster.

The plan? Simple, reduce American oil consumption from the current 2008 level of forty percent of energy use, down to around eleven percent, as soon as possible.

While the latest efforts of billionaires like Sir Richard Branson, with a prize of 25 million dollars to reduce global warming (ex. 'clean coal innovations') and T. Boone Pickens, Oil Barron turned Wind power philanthropist (The Pickens plan) are truly commendable, We will still need more effort, much more. Please see latest projections for World oil demand here.

That is why it is so critical for America to ‘unplug’ from the World dependence on oil, both buying and selling it. By ‘downgrading’ Our own demand for oil and ‘upgrading’ Our uses of alternative energy sources, We will be self sufficient as a Nation. No longer paying foreign terrorists with Our blood and money, just for some greasy oil.

Current USA percentage of overall energy use:

Current Use: Projected Goals:
