Retributions In Amador County

March 18th 2008 - Over the years in Amador County, more often than not people use threats, gossip and derogatory smear campaigns to squelch opposition to their self serving interests:
Red phone, Amador Ledger Dispatch 03-18-2008 -
giving up e mail addresses
I will be personally visiting Raheem tomorrow to find out who gave an e mail address to an individual who then sent an e mail to my wife and called her profane names after she posted on the Red Phone. I understand providing e mail addresses to be able to post, but to give up someone's e mail address to an individual so he can send profane comments to my wife? See you tomorrow, Raheem.

A REAL GOOD POINT!!!
Its time for the editor to stipulate the Ledger Dispatch to a policy Policy on privacy in regards to the Red Phone and state who has access to the contributers information.

To Jim (and Jim’s wife)
E-mail has the same legal status as a letter in the State of California. Threats should be prosecutable and harassment charges might be available as well, You may want to check.
Use to be the public could rely on the press to protect Us… now what? I am sorry that Jim and His wife were subjected to some of the “heinous tricks” that these politico thugs try and use to silence or repress those seeking to enlighten. I think anyone not civil enough to debate in print or person, but resorts to threatening behavior and lowball tactics, is not worth the change in their pocket. And I think less of any one that helps them.
P.S. - Keep posting people! something some one said sure twisted the “pants of the powerful”, didn’t it? (Use synonym names to protect the innocent!)
